Welcome to File Arbor

File Arbor is your new best friend for keeping your digital life organized. Whether you're drowning in downloads or struggling with scattered documents, we've got you covered.

Installation

  1. Download File Arbor from our download page
  2. Run the installer for your operating system
  3. Launch File Arbor from your applications

Your First Organized Folder

Let's set up your Downloads folder as an example:

Step 1: Add a Folder

Click the Add Folder button and select your Downloads folder. File Arbor will now monitor this location for new files.

Step 2: Create Rules

You can either:

  • Use Quick Rules for common file types (Images, Documents, Videos, etc.)
  • Create Custom Rules for specific needs

For beginners, we recommend starting with Quick Rules. Click on "Images" to automatically sort all image files into an Images subfolder.

Step 3: Enable Auto Mode (Pro)

If you have a Pro license, enable Auto Mode to organize files automatically as they appear. No more manual sorting!

Tips for Power Users

  • Use regex patterns for complex file matching
  • Set up multiple folders for complete organization
  • Combine rules for sophisticated sorting logic
