Absolutely. File Arbor organizes your files on your computer: your files, their names and their contents are never uploaded anywhere. The app sends only anonymous usage statistics, such as which features are used and how many files a run moved, as the privacy policy describes.

Yes. A rule can match files by age and remove them. Move to Recycle Bin is on the free plan for safe, recoverable cleanup, and Delete permanently (Pro) frees disk space right away. You can run either on a schedule.

Is there a log of what File Arbor did?

Yes. The Action History records every move, rename, delete, and command run, with the rule that acted and the timestamp. You can undo a single move or rename straight from the history. Files sent to the Recycle Bin or Trash are restored from there, and permanent deletes and commands can't be undone.
